Evey marketeer needs to track clicks in their campaigns. It's important to know where your audience is focused so you can do a better job engaging them. 🤓
In Loopify, you can use our marvelous Smart segments to organize and separate your contacts by where and what they have clicked on. ✌️
Here is one example of how to to that. Let's say that you send a campaign to your customers in which you added the same link on the image and button. You'd want to see which generated more clicks - the image or the button. Using Smart Segments, you can separate and group the contacts that clicked only on the image, only on the button and the ones that clicked both the image and the button.
How to use our smart segments to accomplish that:
- Create one smart segment with a campaign event group.
- Add the following condition:
has clicked on email ➜ choose your email ➜ select your link from the image - This segment will list only the contacts that have clicked on the image.
You can now tag the contacts from this smart segment so you can easily find them later. Select the contacts and from the drop-down menu choose +add tags
- Add the following condition:
- Create another segment with a campaign event group.
- Add the following condition:
has clicked on email ➜ choose your email ➜ select your link from the button - The segment will list only the contacts that have clicked on the button.
Again, tag the contacts from this specific segment.
- Add the following condition:
- Crate the last segment with contact data, to put together the previous two in one place.
- The contacts should match ALL of the following criteria.
tags ➜ contains ➜ choose the tag used for the contacts that clicked on the image
Add one more condition:
tags ➜ contains ➜ choose the tag used for the contacts that clicked on the button - This segment will show the contacts that have clicked both on the image and the button.
- The contacts should match ALL of the following criteria.
Your contacts are now nicely divided into three segments, showing you the correct number of contacts that clicked only on the image, only on the button and both.
We have used this example with clicks on the image and button, but of course, you can use any clicks or with as many links as you like. This example shows the structure of how you can easily separate the contacts that clicked on specific or combined links in your campaign.
