Uploading contacts has never been easier!
But before you jump to this step, you can also check the Import block basics.
For this step, you don't need to put your tech people to work. All that you would need is your API link and the rest would be managed by Loopify. π¨βπ»
What you need to do is:
- Drag and drop the Import block.
- Choose Import using an API call.
- Select the Request method (currently is set to GET by default) and add your Request API link.
- This link is basically your own API link that would contain your list of contacts.
For the API link, you can ask your IT people to provide the link for you. - Simply copy and paste the link there is no need for additional Excel or CSV files.
Note: The API link is required so we can do the mapping correctly, even if you use JSON for mapping.
- This link is basically your own API link that would contain your list of contacts.
- The Authentication will be set to basic, meaning if you have a Username and Password you should enter them.
- You can change the Authentication to Oauth 2.0
- Click Manage Authorization Settings to add your access token URL, Client ID and secret and scope.
- Now once it's all set up click Map using API call.
- The Contacts response window will pop up where you'll see that response.doc is pre-selected.
- Here you can see the full response, and it should always be an array.
- Once you Confirm the response and everything is in order, the mapping window will pop up.
- In the mapping window, you should map your data with Loopify fields.
- When that is done just click 'Done'.
- You can also use JSON for mapping
- All you need to do is upload or paste your JSON and click 'Done'.
Now, don't forget you are in the Import block make sure you toggle the switch for the Import file on Flow activation/repeat or if you are already live, click Run Import.
Awesome! That was fast and easy eh? π
