Problem
You have imported a file with contacts in Loopify and on the mapping part, you see some unwanted characters as part of the field names. You double-check your file, and you are 100% sure that these appeared out of nowhere.
Cause
This happens because there is a Unicode UTF-8 Byte Order Mark (BOM) at the start of the file. The CSV file was saved as a CSV UTF-8. Then, while the web browser interprets this text, it can display it as .
Solution
Make sure you save the same file not as a CSV UTF-8, but as a CSV only. If you're using Excel for example, you'll see the different formats while saving the document (Save As). When it's a CSV, those characters will be no more on your next import.
The same goes if you export the file from Loopify and import it again after editing it. Do your editing, but make sure the file is saved as a CSV file only.
